Chic Halloween Beauty Looks: Lashes, Glitter, and Glam
Not everyone wants to spend Halloween under a latex mask. Some of us want to be the prettiest witch at the party, a fairy who actually sparkles, or a devil whose eyeliner is sharper than her pitchfork. If your Halloween philosophy is "cute first, spooky second," this one is for you: five beauty-led looks that do most of the costume work, and how to prep so you look incredible from pregame to the last photo.
Look 1: The Fairy
The easiest way to look magical with almost no costume. Think dewy skin, pastel shimmer, and glitter everywhere the light hits.
A glowy base and a pearly highlight on cheekbones, brow bones, and the inner corners of the eyes.
Iridescent shadow in lilac or baby blue, patted on with a finger.
Scattered cosmetic glitter or rhinestone face gems across the cheekbones and temples.
A pair of wings and a slip dress, and you are done.
Look 2: Angel or Devil (Pick Your Fighter)
The classic duo, and a perfect matching look for you and your best friend.
Angel: soft white-gold shimmer on the lids, a glossy pink lip, and a halo headband. Keep everything luminous and light.
Devil: a sharp, winged liner, a deep red lip, and red horns. Add a dot of red shimmer at the center of the lower lash line for extra mischief.
Look 3: Kitty
The cat ear is eternal. Make it pretty instead of predictable:
An extended, upswept cat-eye — Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner for a crisp, smudge-proof flick.
A tiny pink nose drawn with blush or lip liner, and three delicate whisker dots on each cheek instead of full lines.
A blurred, rosy lip and a fuzzy ear headband.
Look 4: The Pretty Witch
Witchy, but make it romantic. Smoky plum or burgundy eyes, a black cherry lip, a tiny star or moon drawn at the outer corner of one eye, and gold rings stacked on every finger. A velvet dress and a pointed hat finish it.
Look 5: Vampire Glam
For the girls who want a little bit of spooky. Pale, matte skin, a sharp contour, smudged dark liner, and a deep blood-red lip blotted into a stain at the center. A tiny trickle of fake blood at one corner of the mouth if you are committed. Faux fangs optional, attitude required.
The Lashes Carry the Look
Whatever your costume, lashes are what make Halloween makeup photograph beautifully. Lash extensions for the whole season: our @lashpunk__ anime and wet sets give you that spiky, doll-like Halloween lash without glue at 2am — and they last well past October 31.
Prefer something lower-maintenance? A lash lift + tint makes even a simple Halloween look feel finished.
Glow Prep: Book It Before the Party
Halloween weekend books up fast, so plan your prep:
Lash extensions or lash lift: 2–5 days before, so lashes have settled.
Spray tan: 1–2 days before, for a sun-kissed glow under fairy shimmer or a goddess costume. Skip it for a pale vampire look.
Brows: a lamination or tidy-up a few days ahead makes every look sharper.
Party-Proof Tips
Prime and set. A good primer under and a setting spray over is the difference between photo-ready at midnight and melted by 10pm.
Use cosmetic-grade glitter only. Craft glitter is not made for skin or eyes.
Patch test any new face paint, lash glue, or adhesive gems before the big night.
Take it off gently. A cleansing balm or oil melts glitter, liner, and lash glue without scrubbing.
