The September Issue
Every industry has a month it treats like a holiday. Fashion has September: the thick magazines, the runway calendar, the sudden collective agreement that it is time to buy a coat. We think beauty deserves the same energy, which is why every September we do something we never do the rest of the year: we mark things down.
Not a little. Properly. The kind of numbers that make you screenshot the booking page and send it to the group chat with no caption because the caption is the number.
Consider this the September Issue: an edit of every special on the books this month, organized like a lookbook, with a strong editorial point of view about what you should do with it. The short version is that if you've been "meaning to" book anything at GBY, this is the month your procrastination pays off, and it ends when the month does.
Look One: The Lift
There is a reason lash lifts are our most-booked treatment: they're the beauty equivalent of a good haircut. Nothing is added. Your own lashes are simply curled up and set so they look longer, more open, and permanently awake for six to eight weeks. Add a tint and you've deleted mascara from the morning entirely.
This month:
Lash Lift + Tint — $90 (down from our regular rate) Lash Lift, no tint — $80Lash Lift $75 and Lash Lift + Tint $85 — Thursdays only. The Thursday price is the lowest we've ever put a lift on the books. If your calendar has a Thursday in it, and it does, this is the one. Korean Lash Lift + Tint — $130. The slower, more precise cousin of the classic lift: softer curl, more lashes captured, a finish that reads "naturally like this." For anyone whose lashes are fine, straight, or stubborn.
Editor's note: a lift takes about an hour and you leave with nothing to maintain except "don't get them wet for 24 hours." It is the lowest-effort, highest-return thing on this page.
Look Two: The Brow
Brow lamination is the treatment that made everyone stop drawing hairs on. The brow is softened, brushed up and set in place, and for the next six to eight weeks it stays exactly where you put it, full and feathery and faintly French. It's the difference between a brow that's there and a brow that's doing something.
This month:

Brow Lamination + Tint — $90
$50 Brow Lamination on select appointments. Fifty dollars. That's less than the serum you bought to "grow them in."
Book it and grow them in anyway; we'll shape whatever shows up.
Editor's note: tint is the underrated half of this. Lamination gives the brow shape; tint gives it weight. Together they photograph like you had them microbladed. You did not. You spent $90.
Look Three: The Pairing
The fashion rule is that a great outfit is two good pieces that agree with each other. The beauty rule is the same, and this month it's priced accordingly.
Lash Lift + Brow Lamination — $140 together, which is the price of doing one of them plus lunch.
Lash Lift + Brow Lam — $100 with Courtney. Same pairing, remarkably good number.
Editor's note: the lift-and-lam combo is what we'd put on the cover. One appointment, two treatments, roughly ninety minutes, and you walk out with a face that looks "done" with nothing on it. This is the strongest value on the September menu.
Look Four: The Set
Extensions are the statement piece: more commitment, more presence, more people asking. If you've been waiting for the right moment to try a full set or come back to one, a $99 full set is the moment.
This month:
Brown Classic Full Set — $99. Brown lashes are the quiet-luxury answer to extensions: the same length and lift as black, with a softness that reads as yours. If you're blonde, auburn, or simply allergic to looking "done," start here.
Classic Full Set — $100Volume Full Set — $200. Handmade fans, more density, the full effect. For weddings, for events, for people who know exactly what they want.

Look Five: The Lip
We wrote the definitive guide to lip blushing last week, and the number one question afterward was, predictably, "so what does it cost." This month the answer is
Lip Blush — $350
That's a custom-blended, semi-permanent tint that heals into a soft, "just-bitten" lip color and lasts two to three years. Priced out over its lifespan it's roughly ten dollars a month for lips that are already on when you wake up. Nationally, lip blush runs anywhere from a few hundred dollars to over a thousand; $350 from an artist we trust with our own faces is the single best deal on this page, and the one with the fewest appointment slots. How to wear it
Our styling advice, in the spirit of the season:
If you do one thing, do the Thursday lash lift + tint at $85. If you do two things, do the lash lift + brow lamination pairing. If you've been circling lip blush for a year, this is your sign, and it's $350. And if you're the kind of person who reads In Praise of Scheduled Beauty and nodded, book September now and put the six-week follow-up on your calendar before you leave the chair. Future you, in the thick of October, will be very smug about it.
